Easy Homemade Divinity Candy


21/2 cups sugar
½ cup water
½ cup light corn syrup
¼ tsp. salt
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
Garnish: toasted pecan halves
1. Cook first 4 ingredients in a heavy 2-quart saucepan over low heat until sugar dissolves and a candy thermometer registers 248° (about 15 minutes). Remove syrup mixture from heat.
2. Beat egg whites at high speed with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Pour half of hot syrup in a thin stream over egg whites, beating constantly at high speed, about 5 minutes.
3. Cook remaining half of syrup over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until a candy thermometer registers 272° (about 4 to 5 minutes). Slowly pour hot syrup and vanilla extract over egg white mixture, beating constantly at high speed until mixture holds its shape (about 6 to 8 minutes). Stir in 1 cup chopped pecans.
4. Drop mixture quickly by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased wax paper. Garnish, if desired. Cool.

Boiled Corn

 What You'll Need

 fresh corn on the cob, shucked and cleaned
water
1 C. milk
1/2 stick butter
1 T. sugar


How to Make It



Place the corn in a large pot and add just enough water to cover your corn. Add the milk, butter and sugar, stir to combine the water and milk. Bring to a boil over med. high heat, once it is boiling, lower the heat to medium and put a lid on the pot. Cook for 25 minutes for crisp tender or longer as to your liking.

Floor Grease Cutter Cleaner


 ¼ cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon liquid dish soap
 ¼ cup baking soda
2 gallons tap water, very warm.)

 Done this, works super well and leaves everything smelling amazing.

The Cheese Dip That Will Make You Famous


 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
2 cups grated cheddar cheese OR grated jalapeño jack
1 cup mayonnaise
1 small purple onion, diced (you can use chopped green onions as well or omit onions if you don’t like them
◦Serve with Wheat Thins or Frito’s Scoops for dipping or evenVeggies

Directions
 1-Place all ingredients in a shallow baking dish (a 9″ square pan or round quiche pan will be perfect!)
2- Microwave on high for about 2 minutes or until the ingredients are melted enough to stir together.
3-Stir until combined.
4- Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
5-Serve with Wheat Thins or Frito’s Scoops for dipping

WHO LOVES KRISPY KREME ?? CHOCOLATE OR GLAZED


 Doughnuts
2 (1/4 ounce) packages yeast
1/4 cup water (105-115)
1 1/2 cups lukewarm whole milk (scalded, then cooled)
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/3 cup shortening
5 cups all-purpose flour
canola oil

Creamy Glaze
1/3 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
4 -6 tablespoons hot water



Chocolate frosting
1/3 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
4 -6 tablespoons hot water
4 ounces milk chocolate chips or 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions



Dissolve yeast in warm water in 2 1/2-quart bowl.
Add milk, sugar, salt, eggs, shortening and 2 cups flour.
Beat on low for 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly.
Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally.
Stir in remaining flour until smooth.
Cover and let rise until double, 50-60 minutes.
(Dough is ready when indentation remains when touched.) Turn dough onto floured surface; roll around lightly to coat with flour.
Gently roll dough 1/2-inch thick with floured rolling pin.
Cut with floured doughnut cutter.
Cover and let rise until double, 30-40 minutes.
Heat vegetable oil in deep fryer to 350°.
Slide doughnuts into hot oil with wide spatula.
Turn doughnuts as they rise to the surface.
Fry until golden brown, about 1 minute on each side.
Remove carefully from oil (do not prick surface); drain.
Dip the doughnuts into creamy glaze set on rack then when slightly cooled spread chocolate frosting on top.
Dip in sprinkles or other toppings after chocolate if desired.

Remove from heat.
Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
Stir in water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency.
